Relações entre plantas e polinizadores - uma abordagem para o cerrado em comparação com outras formações vegetais
Resumo
Em sua definição mais ampla, o cerrado ocupa cerca de um quinto do território do Brasil, com uma área central e projeções periféricas que fazem com que ele estabeleça limites com outras formações vegetais, como a floresta amazônica, a caatinga e a floresta atlântica. Con-siderando a importância deste bioma, este trabalho pre-tendeu realizar uma prospecção sobre serviços de polinização no cerrado, objetivando compará-los com os de outras formações vegetais vizinhas. As fontes biblio-gráficas selecionadas atendem aos dois elementos básicos envolvidos nesse tipo de interação: os recursos florais efe-tivamente disponíveis para os consumidores, usando ele-mentos florísticos como indicativos, e os possíveis consu-midores presentes no cerrado. A flora do cerrado apre-senta uma característica marcantemente melitófila, mes-mo considerando escassez de informação para o estrato herbáceo. Para tratar os dados sobre os diversos tipos de recursos florais na dinâmica da comunidade, torna-se ne-cessária uma avaliação ampla o bastante para considerar o dinamismo fenológico das espécies, tanto vegetais como animais, principalmente pelo fato desse dinamismo pressi-onar para o ajustamento dos ciclos de vida dos organis-mos envolvidos nessa interação.
