Corredores ecológicos para onça-pintada (Panthera onca) e on-ça-parda (Puma concolor)

Resumen

Muitos trabalhos focam os esforços em propor ou estudar potenciais corredores de dispersão para onça-pintada e onça-parda. Aqui, exponho uma visão do motivo pelo qual essas espécies podem funcionar como um substituto (surrogate) da biodiversidade. Destaco, também, que vários processos ecológicos estão envolvidos na conexão de fragmentos para que um corredor ecológico seja efetivamente implementado. Esses processos po-dem ser divididos entre aqueles que possuem e aqueles que não possuem um padrão espacial. Tais processos são comumente desconsiderados quando são propostas rotas de dispersão, que poderiam garantir a conservação da onça-pintada e onça-parda.
