Abstract

Experiments on artificial nests are usually to test ecological hypotheses and behavioural that affects the predation, besides aiding in the identification of predators and of the factors that influence in your activity. The objective of this work was to compare the predation rate in different times of exhibition of the artificial nest. The experiment was accomplished in REBIO of Duas Bocas, 45 artificial nests were used containing 2 eggs in each nest. The eggs were left in field by a period of 48 hours. The higher level of nest predation happened with 48 hours of exhibition, presenting a significant difference with relationship at the time of exhibition of the nests. With relationship it distances of the nests in relation to trail and in relation to house, significant difference was not observed.
