Abstract

One of the matters of plant ecology is to understand how the diaspore dispersal process. Knowing that the use of artificial fruit allows to control the some typical variables, this study aimed to investigate the possible preference of frugivorous birds for artificial fruits of different colors. Fruits were made of four colors (purple, red, orange and green) being arranged equidistant in three areas with each area showing three replicates. After 12 hours of exposure of 144 fruits used in the experiment only two showed evidence of frugivorous exploitation.
