Operculina pteripes (G.Don) O'Donell (Convolvulaceae)
a new occurrence for Brazil, morphological characterization and key to the Brazilian species of the genus
Abstract
Operculina pteripes (G.Don) O'Donnell is a widespread species occurring from northern Mexico to central South America. So far, the species had not been reported in Brazil, though, new collections from the Distrito Federal, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais and Tocantins confirm the occurrence of this species in the country. Thus, it is provided here a description of the species, with comments on its morphological features and geographical distribution, as well as a dichotomous key to the species of Operculina in Brazil.
